If they hit all these marks, the game could be the next fire emblem franchise. What can never be overused are secrets- The more stuff hidden to find in a game, and the more replay value a game has with choices/variety/branching paths, the more this game will be loved for years to come, because these are what get people talking. I sent a link to this today over to a friend who runs a moderately successful Youtube Channel.Because I think this is going to be a hit from what I have seen as long as people know its coming.Īre the writers up to par? Story is important.Īre their enough hooks to keep engagement? Sounds like it with class progression.Īny thing to shake things up like monster mounts or units? Always fun if not overused. Its just getting the word out that's the toughest part. Mark my words- If people see what this game is (I watched some demo's) this game will be bigger than hits like Battle Brothers by far. Nintendo Direct just announced a new Fire Emblem, and people are super hyped because they have alot of advertising power, and so people hear about it. Its not that they wont be popular, its because people never hear about them. ![]() There IS a desire for grand turn based strategy RPGs. ![]() My steam turn based group is going to go nuts for this. I was beginning to think we would never get a quality game of this genre that wasnt HD pixel art. Then I thought we would finally get that "western" style quality SRPG with squares "Diofield Chronicles", but its just a small scale 4 man-party real time RPG with some tactical elements. Though not a bad game, it isnt what I hoped for. Then I thought "Glorious Companions" was going to be that mold, but who knows why they just dont seem to be working on that one.
